DUE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES PRACTICES AND MATCHES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

REGISTRATION is nOT CURRENTLY OPEN AT THIS TIME

Registration for the 2020 season is CLOSED. We are extremely excited to get our season underway. The first step is getting your player(s) registered as soon as possible!! Below you will find some registration tips and information. Click on the REGISTER HERE button below to get your player registered.

  • Take a clear headshot of your player with no glasses or hat, you will need this to complete registration.

  • If your player has a student id, a picture of that will need to be uploaded to complete registration.

  • If your player is registering for the first time you will also need a copy of their birth certificate to complete registration.

  • Be sure to complete the "Releases & Waivers" to complete registration.

  • Keep in mind that your player HAS to be FULLY REGISTERED to be able to play in ANY match. This is not our rule, but the rules of the Southern California Youth Rugby League. And we will remain firm on this rule due to liability.

We are looking to start practices for the high school boys beginning of December and all of the rest of the ruggers in the first week of January. Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 pm to approximately 7:00 pm. We are trying to get Grover Heights Elementary School again for practices, but this is yet TBD.

What will my new player need for practice? Your player will need cleats with NO toe cleat and a mouthguard. We recommend all players bring bottled water with them to practices. We have practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The location of practices will be announced at a later time.

If you have any questions regarding registration please feel free to contact me at 805-878-3855 or email at agyrcsignups@gmail.com. We are also looking for 2020 sponsors and you can find that on our website.

Best,

Mission Statement

Arroyo Grande Youth Rugby Club exists to provide a safe, positive, and consistent environment within which the sport and traditions of rugby can be experienced from introductory to elite levels. We use this unique sport and partner with families to develop young men with greater integrity, loyalty, and courage both on and off the pitch.

Core Values

In support of our mission statement, we have chosen to filter all that we do through the lens of our core values. We expect members of our club to embody and support these core values both on and off the field of play.

  • Loyalty- Demonstrating selfless support through thought and action.

  • Courage-Acting in the face of fear.

  • Integrity-Doing the right thing, even when no one else is looking.

The expression of these core values in the form of actions and verbal or written communication is RESPECT. Our club members, coaches, and officers treat each other and those we interact with on and off the pitch with respect and continually reinforce that expectation.

The following video goes a long way in communicating what we are working toward at AGYRC. Please take a look.
